Here is a list of VTubers I enjoy watching. It's not nearly all of the ones I watch,
just the ones I find myself watching the most.
Indie VTubers
Alice Sawyer - Twitter Alice has one of the most comfy communities I've found for a VTuber so far. She
loves spending time with her community and is very active in her discord when she's
not streaming or sleeping through all of her alarms. Her focus is on the horror genre,
but she also enjoys retro shooters. She's also the number 1 Gex VTuber.
Mari Yume - Twitter Mari Yume is a huge inspiration for me, as she is one of the first indie VTubers
I found while looking for how vtubing actually works. Her videos on how to be a
VTuber initially caught my interest long before I ever considered becoming a VTuber
myself, but I quickly became a fan of all of her content. She is a very caring person
and always tries to help others when they need it. Her community is a mesh of Mari
fans and aspiring VTubers, but it works out well in the end.
Susie Llum - Twitter Susie Llum is a bilingual (Portuguese and English) pre-debut VTuber. Her debut will
be sometime late 2025, but she's already interacted on stream with Jesse Llum (her "wife
sister") and is preparing hard for her debut, so I'm excited to see her start this new
part of her life!
VTuber Agencies
Hololive and Holostars I found out about vtubing in general because of hololive. The first VTuber I
ever watched was Calli. She immediately drew me into the vtubing scene and I haven't
looked back since. I primarily watch the EN and ID streamers since many of them
speak english during their streams, but I enjoy clips from the JP side as
well. Never Punished!
Pokemon Pokemon Red and Blue were released in North America in 1988. I got the Red
version on release and my life was changed ever since. The Pokemon franchise is
my favorite by far over any other and I will always be a huge fan. I'll admit I'm
not a big fan of the more recent games, but there is more than enough for
me in the community now to keep me happy. I still go back to play Pokemon Red
when I feel nostalgic... and finally learning how to pull off the proper Mew
trick also helped!

Warcraft I started playing WoW and DotA 1 in 2007, when one of my friends dragged me to
the store to buy the WC3 game and a WoW subscription card. This franchise brought me into
both the MMO and MOBA scenes at the same time. While I've moved on to other MOBAs
in the years since, I still find myself coming back to WoW as my main MMO. I enjoy
the exploration aspect of the game a lot, so most of my time is spent running around
the world rather than doing end-game content.
League of Legends Does anyone else remember the great MOBA wars of the early 2010s? This is when the
people who maintained the DotA 1 mod for WC3 split into separate groups to create their
own games in competition with others vying to gain ground in the new MOBA market. While
many of the games created during this time have fallen (R.I.P. HoN, Fayde will always be my
favorite), League of Legends quickly became and remains my favorite of the bunch and I still
play it to this day... mostly ARAM matches though.
Advance Wars and Fire Emblem I really enjoy playing tactical RPGs, with Advance Wars and Fire Emblem being two of my
favorites! Give me a story told through visual novel conversation sections between battle
strategy maps and I'll be happy. Both those franchises have fallen off lately (either by trying
to make the games too realistic or by adding way more non-TRPG aspects to their games), but
they will always have a place in my heart as some of my favorite childhood memories. I am
looking for more games like these (still need to play Wargroove at some point and FF Tactics
if I can get it), so if you have any suggestions, please send them my way!
Here are some other games I enjoy!
Among Us
Civilization 6
Dungeons & Dragons (and other tabletops)
Stellaris
One of my favorite parts of the Warcraft franchise is the immense amount of lore it has. While the lore has
been hit or miss for the last few WoW expansions, overall it is still an amazing showcase of world-building
that I one day hope to be able to emulate.

Star Wars was originally released 1977 and has become one of the most successful pop culture franchises. Even
after Disney took over and discarded most of the legacy lore, there is still plenty of goodness that remains
and is beloved by many to this day.

Sanderson's Laws of Magic, by Brandon Sanderson
1. An author's ability to solve conflict with magic is directly proportional to how well the reader understands said magic.
2. Weaknesses, limits and costs are more interesting than powers.
3. The author should expand on what is already a part of the magic system before something entirely new is added,
as this may otherwise entirely change how the magic system fits into the fictional world.
Hymmnos Conlang by Akira Tsuchiya Hymmnos (ヒュムノス語) is a really cool constructed language made for the Ar Tonelico franchise and has been
one of my favorite ones to listen to, especially in songs. It would be really cool to see it develop into a complete language.
